Gil Walsh’s eye for design has carried her from her home state of Pennsylvania to Florida and back. And in between, she has worked on homes, yachts, clubs, offices and boutique hotels. There even has been a landmark or two, including Fallingwater, the Pennsylvania home Frank Lloyd Wright built for the Kaufmann family. |
|
“It’s the most thrilling honor one could have. I’ve been involved with Fallingwater since the early ’80s. I had meetings with the late Edgar Kaufmann in Manhattan,” she said. “When I met him at his home, he wanted a woman’s touch. He needed a caring hand and he thought maybe a woman could help.” Well, maybe if that woman were a roofer. Here's the link to read the full article.

Gil Walsh Interiors participated in the 5th Annual Festival of Trees hosted by the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens. This year the festival celebrates the Magic of Movies by inviting firms to create a movie-inspired display.

Gil Walsh and Holly Stephan chose the fun family film, 101 Dalmatians as their inspiration. The tree was decorated in a red, white, and black color scheme with Dalmatian plush puppies, a snow covered tree, and topped with Cruelle de Ville herself complete with Dalmatian coat.
The Festival of Trees will remain on display through the holidays. Be sure to visit Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens to view the Gil's decorating talents and other beautiful holiday trees.
